From the hand of the New Zealand director Peter Jackson and a choral cast led by performers such as Viggo MortensenIan McKellen, Elijah Wood, Orlando Bloom, Sean Astin and Andy Serkis, “The Fellowship of the Ring”, “The Two Towers” and “The Return of the King” were a critical and popular success.

The epic of hobbits, men, elves and dwarves to destroy the very powerful evil entity called Sauron, with production design work on a scale never seen before, can be seen in numerous theaters in the country as part of the celebrations for the centenary of Warner Bros. studios, today part of the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate.
As reported in a statement, the films will be available in the following cinemas: IMAX Norte, Showcase (Norte, Belgrano, Haedo, Rosario and Córdoba), Cinemark (Palermo, Tortugas, Malvinas Argentinas and Palmares Mendoza), Hoyts (Abasto , Unicenter, Moreno, Temperley, Quilmes, Rosario and Patio Olmos), Cinépolis (Recoleta, Pilar, Avellaneda, Rosario and Mendoza), Multiplex (Belgrano and Palmas del Pilar), Atlas Caballito, Cinema Adrogué and Cinema San Martín La Plata.

A multi-award winning trilogy
With a total of 17 Oscars from the Hollywood Film Academy, 10 Bafta awards from the British Academy and four Golden Globes, among dozens of other awards, the trilogy was a true commercial success. “The Return of the King” in fact took home the 11 statuettes for which it was nominated at the Oscars, including the categories of Best Picture and Best Director for Jackson.
Then a second saga would arrive, the prequel trilogy of “The Hobbit” (2012-2014), also under the orders of Peter Jackson and very successful at the box office although more elusive of recognition and praise from specialized critics.
