Aristocracy: Prince William: Incidents with children burdensome in rescue

A few years ago, Prince William was also a rescue pilot. It was always difficult for him when children were involved in the missions.

Prince William (39) has found incidents with children to be very stressful in his previous work as a rescue pilot.

“Every rescue helicopter mission that affected children has hit me hard (…)”, said the second in line to the British throne at a symposium on the mental health of rescue workers in London, as the PA news agency reported on Thursday. He then processed some of the events through conversations. But they wouldn’t have let go of him completely, William went on, adding: “If we weren’t influenced by emotions, we’d all be robots.”

William quit his job as a rescue pilot in 2017. It was said at the time that he wanted to concentrate fully on his task as the future heir to the throne. In addition, the family moved from east England to London because Prince George (now 8) started school. William and his wife Duchess Kate (39) have two other children: Princess Charlotte (6) and Prince Louis (3).
