Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o (40) surprised on Saturday in Los Angeles with an unusual cream-colored outfit at her first red carpet appearance since her separation from Selema Masekela (52).
To the GO Campaign’s 17th Annual Gala, she wore an extremely low-cut halter dress with cap sleeves and a high leg slit. The Kenyan actress combined this with a matching headdress made of white shells. With subtle make-up, she emphasized her eyes with eyeliner and put a little gloss on her lips.

The red carpet appearance – alongside her mother Dorothy Nyong’o – came just hours after she thanked her fans who had showered her with love following the news of her split.
Lupita Nyong’o has been in a relationship with the TV presenter and sports commentator since 2022. In a lengthy statement she posted on Instagram two days ago, she wrote that while there were “much more important things in the world right now,” she said: “At this moment it is necessary for me to speak a personal truth and to publicly distance myself from someone I can no longer trust…”
