The time when their relationship was in the headlines for months felt like they were “drowning,” the designer said. The former England captain says he felt “physically ill every day” as he and Victoria fought the battle to save their marriage. Loos himself had already announced that he would like to speak out again. Now she followed her words with actions.
“He’s making himself a victim and making me look like a liar,” she told the Daily Mail. “The stories were terrible, but they were true,” said Loos about the tabloid press reporting at the time. Loos claims that she also caught Beckham with other women at a party. She was there herself when Victoria called her because she couldn’t reach her husband. The designer instructed Loos to look for him. She saw Beckham’s bodyguards standing in front of a bedroom and whispered to one of them that Victoria was on the line. The bodyguard disappeared into the room. “When he comes back, David is with him. I can see the model lying on the bed in the background. I can see it’s a bedroom. I was livid and just looked at him, handed him the phone and said : ‘Your wife.'”
Loos also talks about her own hurt feelings and recalls how she felt betrayed by Beckham. “We were texting and it got naughty, it was funny,” she says in the interview. “Then suddenly I got a text message from the Spanish bodyguard. It said: ‘Stop. He shows it to his friends and they all laugh.'” An event that made her rethink. “I was very hurt and that pain made me become laissez-faire and not care about keeping this big secret for him when he treats me like that.” Even today, she believes it is important to speak out.
