Paul MCCARTNEY first revealed information about the song earlier this year, where he revealed in an interview that the Beatles They will release a “final” song in 2023.
According to the musician, he enlisted the help of artificial intelligence technology to work on the song, which allowed him to “extract” demo recordings from the deceased members, John Lennon and George Harrisonand compile them together with new recordings of him and Ringo Starr to create a song, more than four decades since Lennon’s death.
Ringo Starr had already given information about the song
The drummer clarified that fans should not worry about the track being dominated by AI and revealed that the end result sounds “beautiful.”
“It’s not about the AI… It’s not like we’re faking anything. “Actually, that’s John’s voice, Paul’s vocals and bass, George on rhythm guitar and me on drums,” he said.
“The two things that are new are Paul’s bass and me on drums… I really worked on it just a few months ago here. And it works,” he added. “It’s a beautiful song. You know, despite all the craziness around it, it’s still a beautiful track. And our last track.”.
McCartney also shared a similar sentiment to reassure fans who were cautious about using AI to create the song, stating that it does not include anything “artificially or synthetically created.”
“We have seen some confusion and speculation about this. There seems to be a lot of guesswork out there. I can’t say much at this time, but to be clear, nothing has been created artificially or synthetically. Everything is real and we all play with it,” he explained at the time.
“We cleaned up some existing recordings, a process that has taken years. We hope you like it as much as we do. More news in due course.”
