Oliver Pocher: The parallels between his two failed marriages

Oliver Pocher’s second marriage failed. After almost four years, Amira Pocher and the comedian are going their separate ways. And the separation has some parallels to Pocher’s first marriage breakup.

After almost four years of marriage, Amira and Oliver Pocher have been going their separate ways for a few weeks. This is the comedian’s second failed marriage. And both have some parallels.

Oliver Pocher: His separations were similar

At the end of August, the Pochers used their shared platform – their couple podcast – to share the news with their fans. They separated, but wanted to pull together for the sake of the children. The separation report in 2013 sounded very similar after the love affair with Alessandra Meyer-Wölden. “We made the joint decision at the beginning of the year to end our partnership. Of course, we will continue to support each other in the future and raise our three children together,” it said at the time.

In both cases, the separation did not come from Oliver Pocher. The comedian said in the podcast with Amira that he didn’t want the marriage to end. A little later he turned to his wife with kind lines. “Unfortunately, last year I didn’t manage to give you what you hoped for from me,” wrote Pocher on Instagram. In 2021 he told Meyer-Wölden’s podcast that their marriage apparently failed for similar reasons. “There wasn’t just one reason – the classic ‘we’re growing apart’ might be wrong,” he said, adding: “You just weren’t happy in the relationship.” Both marriages did not last long and in both cases there are children involved.

Amira Pocher repaired the relationship between him and Alessandra Meyer-Wölden

It remains to be seen how the ex-partners will treat each other in the future. After they actually wanted to continue working together, the comedian ended the joint podcast after a “loss of trust”. Instead of harmony, there is a hint of thick air. Meyer-Wölden and Pocher were also not on good terms with each other for a long time after their separation. Only Amira had a positive influence on the relationship between the two. “It wasn’t always easy. We had our ups and downs. (…) Thanks to Amira, we are on the right track,” said Meyer-Wölden on “Grill den Henssler”.
