The sequel to the 2005 superhero horror film was stalled due to the writers’ strike, but with the writers back at work, Lawrence has reunited with Reeves to continue the saga.

“So Constantine 2 was obviously delayed by the writers’ strike,” Lawrence told Gamespot. “AND We had to overcome a lot of obstacles to regain control of the character, because other people had control of Vertigo. we have control”.
Lawrence continued: “Keanu, Akiva Goldsman and I have been in meetings and we’ve been discussing what we think the story is going to be, and there are more of those meetings that have to happen (the script needs to be written), but we really hope that we can make Constantine 2 and make a real R (adult) version of it.”
