Riccardo Simonetti was among the celebrity guests at Heidi Klum’s Halloween party in New York. This is how he experienced the evening…
Heidi Klum (50) once again lived up to her reputation as the “Queen of Halloween” yesterday evening (October 31st). She transformed herself into a peacock and had ten Cirque du Soleil dancers with her as feathers. Presenter and entertainer Riccardo Simonetti (30) was also invited to the party. In an interview with the news agency spot on news, he revealed what his highlights were, how he found the hostess’ costume and what tip he has for Heidi Klum next year.
“It wasn’t really comfortable”
Riccardo Simonetti was at the Halloween party for the second time. Last year he came as singer Cher (77), who even commented on his outfit on Twitter. This year he dressed up as King Triton. “I was inspired by the new Ariel movie and wanted to portray her father when he was young, so I had a costume and crown made specifically for that,” he said. And added with a laugh: “It wasn’t really comfortable, but it was still fun.” He also took it with humor that a Tokio Hotel bandmate of Klum’s husband Tom Kaulitz (34) had the same idea. “He stole my look,” he commented on a photo together with Georg Listing (36) in his Instagram story. There he also revealed that the costume was quite unsuitable for sitting. The trip to the New York nightclub “Marquee” was therefore not so pleasant.
“Thank you Heidi for throwing another epic Halloween party,” Simonetti wrote about his Oct. 31 appearance.
He wondered all day what Heidi Klum would be
In the interview he then reported: “The party was ecstatic! Everyone took dressing up so seriously and the guests celebrated really wildly!” There were circus artists who hung from trapezes and people who walked around the room on stilts. “A different highlight in every corner. And also a highlight: seeing so many great people again and getting to know new people.”
What was particularly exciting for him was of course what costume the hostess would appear in this year. He had the right nose: “I followed everything online and thought maybe she was a bird or a dinosaur, my team and I puzzled all day,” he said. “But I didn’t expect the way it was implemented at all. I thought the costume was really cool, especially because Heidi took half of it off a little later and you could see even more how elaborately the head was designed.” The model was also “in a great mood” and a “mega hostess”. Simonetti also has a clear opinion about her husband’s appearance: “And Tom as an egg was the icing on the cake.” The Tokio Hotel musician appeared as a peacock egg to match the Klum costume.
Will the model dress up as cheese next year?
For Simonetti, who started his career as a blogger, one thing is certain: “Heidi is the queen of Halloween and it’s nice to see how much she is celebrated for that – especially in America.” That’s why he thinks it won’t be boring next year at “Heidi Halloween”: “I’m sure she’ll always come up with something to give people a show! I suggest: you as cheese and Tom as Mouse, I would find that funny. I hope you do too.”
The 30-year-old now has another big highlight coming up: he’s flying straight back to Germany to promote his new book. “Raffi & Juli”, the sequel to his children’s book “Raffi & his pink tutu”, will be published on November 3rd.
