Superstar Beyoncé’s mother reported on a talk show about bizarre scenes that take place during her daughter’s concerts.
In the interview by US comedian Sherri Shepherd (56), the mother of singer Beyoncé (42) chatted a little about her private life. Tina Knowles gave some interesting insights into what happens backstage during her famous daughter’s concerts.
“I’m really glad I don’t have to be back there anymore”
Just recently she caught Beyoncé again making strange comments to an assistant during one of her numerous costume changes. She said: “We were laughing about it recently because I said to her, ‘Girl, you’re getting really mean back there.’ And I’m really glad I don’t have to be back there anymore.” In earlier times she was responsible for quick costume changes and experienced something similar.
Parallels to Beyoncé hit “Flaws and All”
These scenes reminded her of Beyoncé’s song “Flaws and All”, which translated into German says, among other things: “In the morning I’m a train wreck / In the afternoon I’m a bitch / from now on – without a warning / I can tell you to be really mean to each other”. However, the lyrics ultimately boil down to a positive conclusion: “You accept me and all my flaws / And that’s exactly why I love you.”
Tina Knowles emphasized that the same thing applies to her relationship with her sometimes prickly daughter. “She’ll say, ‘Mom, I’m so sorry,’ and I’ll say, ‘I know.’ Sometimes she cries and I think, ‘She’s crying because she knows she just said something crazy to us’.”
Meanness in the “heat of the moment”
It is always clear to her that Beyoncé doesn’t really mean such comments in a bad way. “It’s just the heat of the moment, because you’re trying to put your shoes on and everyone’s waiting. And if someone screws up or loses their shoes, then you’ve screwed up the whole show. So, I get that,” she explained in a motherly tone Indulgence.
Throughout her breathtaking career, Tina Knowles has always stood unwaveringly by her daughter’s side. When she started out as part of the band Destiny’s Child, she personally took care of the singers’ hairstyles and costumes. She later made a name for herself as a designer: together with her daughter she founded the fashion label House of Deréon, which was later followed by her own fashion line “Miss Tina by Tina Knowles”.
