Joss Stone and Cody DaLuz secretly and spontaneously tied the knot. What a bouquet of flowers and free space had to do with it.
The singer and actress Joss Stone (36) has said “yes” – to her long-term partner and father of her children, Cody DaLuz (33). She recently revealed this in an interview with “Wednesday’s 5 News”. . They made their red carpet debut as a married couple at the opening of the musical “The Time Traveller’s Wife” in London on November 1st. The new British musical, based on Audrey Niffenegger’s international best-selling novel, is brought to life by, among other things, original songs by Grammy Award winner Stone.
In an interview with musical director Bill Buckhurst on “Wednesday’s 5 News” she talks about one of her musical performances. At the end of the first act, an actress threw a bouquet of flowers that accidentally flew in Stone’s direction. “I almost reached out to grab him.” But the bouquet landed in a free space. “The only free space in the house,” says Stone.
“I thought it was a good omen!”
Nobody went to pick up the bouquet. Joss Stone took the initiative: “I thought, well, the flowers are for me! So I took them and everyone shouted: ‘Yay!'” said the 36-year-old and laughed. When she then went back home to Nashville, she got married on October 26th. “Wow, that’s real magic,” Buckhurst replied in the interview. “I thought it was a good omen!” said Stone.
Stone and DaLuz have two children together. The family appears happy on Instagram with daughter Violet (2) and son Shackleton (1). The couple can imagine having more children and are planning to adopt a child. The newlywed couple is currently going through a process to be recognized as potential adoptive parents. “I hope we can do it,” reported the musician. “I want to have about 25 children,” she joked.
