During the opening of Mar del Plata Film Festival A spot was released with fragments of national films voiced by Ricardo Darin which served as a prologue to the call.

The spot lasts two minutes and 18 seconds. It begins with an aerial image of the City of Buenos Aires and a question that functions as a trigger for the development of the production. “If it were a movie, just a movie, where would you film it?”the actor can be heard saying Argentina, 1985. From that moment, a series of images follow one another with characteristic landscapes and settings of the country, such as “the end of the world, a glacier, the puna, the obelisk, a barium club.”

The video is made with scenes from national films, such as the two Oscar-winning productions, The official story (1985) and The Secret in Their Eyes (2009). But also, images of the directors stand out Leonardo Favio, Lucrecia Martel, Fabián Bielinsky, Luis Ortega, Martin Piroyansky, among many others. Some fictional characters appear and others who represented those who made the Argentine land great, such as Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi, the mothers of Plaza de Mayo and Pope Francis.
“There is a crisis here, it is not easy here, it is with wit, with mischief, with everything. That’s why we make noise, that’s why we never go unnoticed. We are named in every corner of the planet, in series and movies. We win World Cups, Oscars, awards and recognitions. Here the victories come, and when they come, they are never forgotten. We have memory. If it were a single film it would be overwhelming, but it is much more than that. It’s not just cinema, it’s Argentine cinema“, concludes the voice while scenes from the most notable works pass, such as the Official History, Waiting for the float and Wild Talesamong many other films.
