Hans Meiser dies at the age of 77 – radio station says goodbye

TV presenter Hans Meiser died at the age of 77. In a message, his radio station says goodbye.

“We say goodbye to our friend Hans Meiser,” writes Radio Wellenrausch on Instagram and posts a photo of the TV and radio presenter. Meiser, a veteran of the German media landscape, died at the age of 77. As the station reports, the cause of death was “unexpected heart failure.” As the German Press Agency confirmed, Meiser died last week near Scharbeutz (Schleswig-Holstein).

“Right from day one, Hans Meiser was passionate about building our station and developed numerous formats for this purpose,” it continues. He founded his first station as a teenager and then started as a presenter at the SWF Pop Shop.

“Later, the private television station RTL plus discovered his great talent. He was a man of the first hour and became the anchorman of the then news ‘7vor7’. He became known through the talk show of the same name ‘Hans Meiser’, through the program ‘Notruf’ and through many other formats such as the breakdown show ‘Stupid’,” said the broadcaster.
