British royal family: 75 special coins for 75-year-olds for Charles’ birthday

On November 14th, King Charles III celebrates. his 75th birthday. We are reminded of this with a very special campaign.

In honor of King Charles III’s 75th birthday. The British mint Royal Mint is giving away a new commemorative coin to 75 people who are also turning 75.

The five-pound piece is intended to honor the monarch’s lifelong commitment to nature, the environment and sustainability, the Royal Mint said. Those celebrating an anniversary who are interested in the coin can apply online. Charles celebrates his first birthday as crowned king on November 14th.

The coin features the king’s monogram and the number 75, framed by oak leaves and delphiniums. “The oak leaves represent strength, morale, resistance and knowledge, while His Majesty’s favorite garden flower – the delphinium – reflects his love of nature,” it said. The design also includes several insects such as a ladybug and a dragonfly. As an inscription on the edge, the words “Restoring harmony with nature” are reminiscent of an earlier speech by Charles on climate protection.
