In his adopted hometown of Scharbeutz, TV veteran Hans Meiser died of heart failure at the age of 77. This was first reported by the radio station Radio Wellenrausch, which he founded. “Hans Meiser leaves behind a wife, three children and three grandchildren. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his family and relatives. We will never forget this great man, friend and co-founder of our station Radio Wellenrausch! Thank you Hans. Thank you for everything,” said Radio Wellenrausch. “Hans’ last wish was that we continue to run the radio station and overcome the difficult start with many hurdles and not give up. The motivation, the fun and the goal of creating a great radio station must not be lost.” Over the course of the eighties and nineties, Meiser achieved cult status on German TV. The main reason for this was his broadcasts on the private broadcaster RTL.
