Cultural centers and museums will pay tribute to tango this Thursday

This is an initiative that will be filled with live music concerts, tango classes and free exhibitions.

Five cultural centers and museums that the Nation administers in the city of Buenos Aires will host this Thursday from 3:00 p.m. “Open milonga. Tango circuit for culture”an initiative that will be filled with live music concerts, tango classes and free exhibitions.

The venues chosen by the Ministry of Culture to celebrate tango are the Kirchner Cultural Center, the Borges Cultural Center, the Casa Patria Grande, the Manzana de las Luces Historical Cultural Complex and the National Museum of the Cabildo of Buenos Aires and the Revolution of May.

From 6 p.m., in the Esplanade of the Kirchner Cultural Center (Sarmiento 151) and curated by the Open, Atypical and Plural Milonga, Bruno Tombari and Rocío Lequío, Nicolás Schell and Nair Schinca and the Dinzel Studio Company will provide dance exhibitions to the public. The meeting will be musicalized byr Mariano Romero and Mario Orlandoand hosted by Adriana Pérez Frossasco and Diego Amorín.

There will also be live music with three groups: the Orquesta Típica Pichuco, the Orquesta Típica Say No More and the Sexteto Mayor with Roxana Fontán as a guest singer.

Meanwhile, from 15 to 20, the Borges Cultural Center (Viamonte 525) will have different interventions in its spacescontinuous screening of short films and video clips, a master class by Graciela Cabrera, from the Tango Baile Association, and performative interventions by the dancers Soledad Mangia and Nahuel Tortosa and the bandoneon player Joaquín Benítez Kitegroski, from the UNA Tango Company and the Noestango Group.

Already in the Casa Patria Grande (Carlos Pellegrini 1289), from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., the Siempre Tang quartet will performoy the group Cachivache, in addition to dance couples and with the musicalization of Valeria Buyatt and the conduction of the Milongas con Sentido Social Association.

He Manzana de las Luces Historical Cultural Complex (Perú 222) will have the presence of the groups: Aguas Argentinas and Zasali a la grill, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The National Historical Museum of the Cabildo of Buenos Aires and the May Revolution (Bolívar 65) will carry out the activity Open Tango with the participation of the musicians Leonardo Pastore, Hernán Malagoli and the Villa Urquiza Typical Orchestra live, and hosted by Martín Chili, from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
