In her new talk show, Anna Dushime talks about Roberto Blanco’s sex life. The singer talks about how young he was the first time.
Roberto Blanco likes to portray himself as a philanderer. In 2017, he wrote in his biography “Von der Seele” about sex escapades, affairs and party nights with flight attendants. Blanco also spoke about his first time back then, and now he has remembered it again in an interview with Anna Dushime.
Roberto Blanco: First sex at 12
Dushime posted first impressions of her show “The Last Drink with Anna Dushime” on Instagram. In it she asks Blanco about his “body count”, i.e. how many women he has slept with in his life. “I counted a bit in your book, but I couldn’t keep up in the end,” she says to him. “I can’t say how many women. Over 1,000,” Blanco replies, somewhat puzzled. After all, he is 86 years old. There he is again, the philanderer. Then Blanco talks about his first time. “I started when I was 12,” he says. And the woman he had sex with for the first time was significantly older than him. She was 36, says Blanco.
He can’t explain Dushime’s shocked reaction. “What do you want to tell me? What I experienced was very nice. I’m happy that I had that. And I don’t regret it. It was very nice,” he assures.
Confession creates a discussion
Blanco’s confession sparked a heated discussion in the comments section under the clip. “But he already knows that what happened wasn’t okay, otherwise he wouldn’t feel directly attacked,” writes one user. “I don’t know how best to do that myself, but I think it’s important to frame this excerpt differently afterwards. Sexual abuse of boys and men is so often trivialized or not recognized as such and I think it’s important “It becomes clear to those affected who see this video that 12 and 36 are not okay in any constellation, no matter how ‘pretty’ the perpetrator is,” criticizes one user.
“Of course it was a sexual assault on a minor. But I also find it strange how many clerks here accuse an 86-year-old of not being willing to reflect,” commented another. Dushime has now also taken a stand. “Friends, I wanted to give a little more context. So the conversation is longer than this reel we edited for social media. In the longer version I discussed his age when he first met and also criticized the woman. I “I respect Roberto’s decision to think this way about his experiences, even if of course I see it completely differently,” she writes.
