Dreams. Job. Solidarity. The Empujar Foundation (Companies United by Youth of Argentina) celebrated its tenth anniversary with a recital in the Amijai Community, in Belgrano. Established artists participated in the celebration, such as Karina “La Princesita”, Rodrigo Tapari, Nahuel Pennisi and Patricia Sosa, who under the direction of Lito Vitale, contributed their music to celebrate the achievements of this organization, which provides, with great success and national recognition , training programs and youth labor inclusion.
The meeting – which brought together professionals, volunteers, donors and young people who participate or participated in Push programs – began with a musical introduction by Lito Vitale and the projection of a video that reviewed the main milestones of these 10 years since the birth of the Foundation. It was in 2013, when a group of businessmen from Argentina, convinced of the need to build a better society, adopted as their mission to improve the conditions for youth to obtain formal, quality employment.
Next, the president of the Board of Directors of Push, Fernando Shalom, shared a few words and after thanking the community present for their effort and commitment in this decade, he assured that there is no prosperous country without equal opportunities for its inhabitants.
“This is what we are looking for, that our effort, that the support and training we provide is transformed into concrete opportunities for young people. Friends: we are achieving it,” she said.
In one of the most emotional passages of his speech, Shalom stated that “there are people who push you and make you fall. But there are also people who push you so you don’t fall into a well. There are people who push you to fail. But there are also people who push you forward. There are people who push you to pass first.
But there are people who push you so that you don’t get left behind. All of us chose the second option. The one in which the word push is almost a synonym for love.”
Subsequently, Shalom communicated great news: the declaration, by the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires, of Educational Interest and Economic Development and Employment Policies for young people, to the task carried out by Push. And also, he summoned the former presidents of Push, Héctor Polakoff and Javier Chornik, to share the stage with him and receive the first edition of a book that reviews the first ten years of Push. The copies were delivered by Rosita Soria, a 2013 graduate, and Santiago Villaba, a 2023 graduate.
Immediately afterwards, the musical show began, which began with the participation of Nahuel Pennisi, who played and sang local and international hits such as “Parallel Universe”, “Toco y me voy”, “ojala” and “Mundo”. During his presentation, Pennisi assured that he enjoyed “being accompanied by so many dreams” and that “the name of this Foundation inspires many things.”
Surrounded by applause, the singer assured that they, from the stage, were “pushing through the music.”
Then, it was Patricia Sosa’s turn, who began her repertoire with “If a couple of songs were enough.” Then, she thanked Push for his invitation to participate in “this party,” since she considered that being part of it was “like a mission.”
Sosa highlighted the task of the artists who “provide service,” since they must “plant seeds of love and solidarity” through “their singing and music.” The singer, much applauded, also sang “We are in action”, “World without violence” and “Learn to fly”.
Later, Rodrigo Tapari took the stage, saying that it was “an honor to be here sharing and pushing.” Tapari’s repertoire included hits like “It was difficult” or “This love is so big” and also national rock classics like “I pray for you” and “Seminare.” Before leaving, the singer said that he felt that he was being part of a “very special” space and highlighted that everyone present was “links in this chain where we all need to be pushed and have people around you who tell us to move forward.” ”.
Afterwards, Karina “La Princesita” entered the stage, at which time those attending the anniversary were completely standing.
Karina sang “There is no way to ask for forgiveness,” “Paisaje,” “Corazón Mentiroso” and “Con la misma coin,” before being accompanied by all the artists for a joint closing with “Hymno de mi corazón” and an encore. , at the request of the public, from “Seminare”. By then, the atmosphere of excitement and celebration was total, which concluded with a shared applause from the public towards the artists, and from the artists towards the public.
After the show, Patricia Sosa highlighted the work of Push and “that everything that is achieved is achieved when we are united, since apart there is little strength we can exert, but together we move forward and achieve wonderful things.”
Rodrigo Tapari, meanwhile, declared after the meeting that “being present with Fundación Empujar is a commitment that goes beyond music” since “it is an opportunity that all of us have to make a real difference in the lives of those who are most “They need us.”
