Reality TV star Yasin Mohamed: He doesn’t regret any of his reality TV appearances

Yasin Mohamed talks about his participation in the new reality show “Good Luck Guys” and his previous reality TV experiences.

With “Good Luck Guys”, a new reality show is starting on Joyn. The twelve participants don’t have a relaxing vacation in Thailand waiting for them; rather, they have to give up all luxury items and move into barren huts. On the Lost Beach they compete in duos for various challenges and have to collect pearls. At the end there is prize money of 20,000 euros.

“I just wanted to expose myself to an extreme situation and see whether I would still be as cool and calm when all the ‘luxury’ was taken away from me,” explains candidate Yasin Mohamed (32) in an interview with spot on news about the motivation for his participation. “I also love challenges and like to push myself to my limits.”

The biggest challenge and the worst thing for him was ultimately not eating, reports the reality star, who became known for “Temptation Island”, “Battle of the Reality Stars” and “Ex on the Beach”. “The starvation really wore me out. The sleeping situation wasn’t easy either, but you’ll see that on the show,” he says with a laugh. In general, he “got along really well with everyone; I’m a very open and uncomplicated person.” In addition to Paco Herb (“Battle of the Reality Stars”), he knew Aurelia Lamprecht (“Love Island”), Dominik Brcic (“Ex on the Beach”) and Michelle Daniaux (“Temptation Island”) before the show.

Other participants are Jade Übach (“The Bachelor”), Juliano Fernandez (“Are You The One?”), Kevin Schäfer (“Charming Boys”), Melissa Heitmann (“Temptation Island”), Michael Student (“Are You The One ?”), Michaela Barresi (“Yes we camp!”) and Zoe Saip (“Battle of the Reality Stars”).

“In the shows I am 100 percent me”

Like his colleagues, Mohamed can already look back on a reality TV career and stood out in many shows for his hard-partying appearances and erratic dating behavior. The TV star explains in an interview that he has never regretted taking part or taking part in a show. “Everything I do in the shows is 100 percent me. Of course I’ve made one or two mistakes, but I learn from them. And it’s quite entertaining for the viewer,” says Yasin. Of course, it’s never nice when he receives hate for his behavior on social media, “but luckily I don’t let it get to me. What’s important to me is what my family and my closest friends think of me and not strangers on the Internet “In the end, envy and hate are also a form of recognition,” says the reality professional.

Regarding his experiences in dating shows, Mohamed explains: “The advantage is of course that you don’t have a cell phone or social media and you can get to know the other person during production, away from external influences. Of course, you spend an incredible amount of time together, which makes the time all the more intense. The disadvantage is that you don’t know how the whole thing works in everyday life.” When asked about his current relationship status, he remains tight-lipped: “It remains a secret for now.” He also doesn’t want to reveal how he feels about Yeliz Koc (29), with whom he increasingly appears on social media: “You’d probably like to know that,” he laughs.

When it comes to his reality TV career, the “Good Luck Guys” candidate also has a special show on his wish list: “I’m actually open to everything. The jungle camp would definitely appeal to me.”

“Good Luck Guys” premieres November 9th with a double episode on Joyn. Two more of the 20 episodes will be available every Thursday. At Joyn Plus+, users can see a preview of the double episodes.
