Roman Weidenfeller (43) and his wife Lisa (35) will go their separate ways in the future. The former national goalkeeper “It’s true, Lisa and I are no longer a couple. We separated amicably,” explains Weidenfeller. He and his estranged wife still tried to save their marriage. “However, we unfortunately found that it no longer works in the long term.”
“For us, our two children come first,” continued the former Dortmund keeper. “Of course, as parents we will look after their well-being together.” Daughter Luna was only born in May of this year. Their son Leonard was born in 2016.
Already separated once for two years
This is not the first separation for Lisa and Roman Weidenfeller. The couple announced the end of their relationship in 2018, shortly after the goalkeeper ended his career. At that time too, Weidenfeller spoke in the “Bild” newspaper about an amicable separation. Two years later they dared to make a love comeback. Daughter Luna was supposed to crown the new happiness.
