Argentine cinema arrives in Germany in a new edition of the Invasion Festival

“I am very happy with this year’s programming, as it is especially varied, with very different themes, aesthetics and ways of telling, but with something in common: they are all brave films, which dare to go off the beaten track, to surprise us and show us that there are other landscapes to discover ”, said Julieta Zarankin, director of the festival through a press release.

The festival, which includes fictions, documentaries, hybrid genres, and co-productions between Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, Spain, Germany, Brazil and Norway, aims to disseminate films that in many cases received international recognition, but that rarely reach the screens. German.

The eighth edition of Invasión has the support of the Argentine Embassy in Berlin, the Frankfurt Consulate and the Cervantes Institute, and since it emerged in 2014 to date, 56 feature films and 18 shorts have been screened with performances in Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Wiesbaden and Karlsruhe.
