In a few days the Bambi Awards will take place at the Bavaria Film Studios near Munich. Among the winners are the singer Zara Larsson and the actor Mads Mikkelsen.
The Swedish pop singer Zara Larsson (“Lush Life”) gets a Bambi this year. “With her clear voice, Zara Larsson has had a meteoric rise and is already a globally celebrated superstar at the young age of 25,” Hubert told Burda Media in Munich, calling her “an exceptional artist.” Larsson should receive the Bambi in the “Music International” category.
“Zara Larsson impresses not only with her unique talent and an unmistakable, strong voice, but also with a clear stance on important social issues and debates,” said the Bambi jury.
The Bambi is one of the most important media and television awards in Germany and has been awarded since 1948. The 75th anniversary is to be celebrated this Thursday (November 16th) with a gala at the Bavaria Film Studios near Munich. Most recently, the Bambi Awards were paused for three years due to the corona pandemic.
In addition to Larsson, other winners have already been chosen: The Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen (“Der Rausch”) will receive a Bambi in the “International Acting” category. Musician Peter Maffay is honored as a “legend” for his life’s work.
