The release of “Now and Then” is part of an expanded 50th anniversary edition of the Liverpool Four’s 1973 compilation albums.

53 years after the release of their last studio album, “Let It Be”the Beatles They are making history on Billboard with their new song, “Now and Then”. Released on November 2, the song debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, marking the Beatles’ 35th Top 10 milestone and extending their record as the biggest among groups.

The rock ballad was originally written and recorded by John Lennon as a solo track, but it was never completed before his death. The unfinished song floated in limbo until Paul MCCARTNEY revived it last year with the help of Artificial Intelligence. “When we started making what will be the last Beatles record, it was a demo that John had,” McCartney said in an interview earlier this year. “We were able to take John’s voice and make it pure through this AI. Then we can mix the album, as you normally would.”.

50 years since the release of the Beatles’ albums “Red” and “Blue”

The release of “Now and Then” is part of an expanded 50th anniversary edition of the 1973 compilation albums by the Beatlesbetter known as the albums “Red” and “Blue”.

The 50th Anniversary Edition vinyl release features 75 tracks across six LPs. The “Red” album contains 12 additional tracks, including some of the first songs from George Harrison and covers of Beatles R&B and rock hits that were the band’s favorites (for example, “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me” by Smokey Robinson and “Roll Over Beethoven” by Chuck Berry).

The “Blue” album includes nine additional tracks, including “Blackbird” and “Glass Onion,” as well as “Now and Then.” Released on Capitol Records, the label says 36 of the tracks have “new mixes” for 2023.

Everything is packaged inside a collectible binder with inserts containing new cover notes from the journalist and author John Harris.
