Taika Waititi he said in an interview with Business Insider while promoting his new sports comedy Next Goal Wins that “will not participate” in a fifth Thor movieat least if Marvel plans for that to happen sometime within the next six years.

“I don’t know if that’s accurate,” Waititi said when asked about rumors on social media that “Thor 5” is in development but not with him directing. “I know I won’t be involved…I’ll focus on these other movies I’ve signed up for”.

Waititi has a number of non-Marvel projects he’s currently in development on, including a Marvel movie. Star Wars that is taking its time to take off. “She’s still marinating,” she said. “I’ve been writing it.”
There is also the big screen adaptation of the graphic novel by Alejandro Jodorowsky “The Incal” that Waititi wants to make, as well as an adaptation of the novel by Kazuo Ishiguro “Klara and the Sun”. Waititi told Business Insider that the latter title will likely be his next film. “Klara” centers on a robot programmed to prevent loneliness and heartbreak among teenagers.

“So it’s been six or seven years,” Waititi said of his current roster and how Marvel doesn’t take this into account right now. “I imagine another ‘Thor’ would come out much sooner… But I love Marvel, I love working with them. I love Chris.”
“I would never feel like I was being cheated on,” Waititi added, noting that he wouldn’t feel any hard feelings if Marvel Go ahead and hire another writer-director for a fifth movie. “Thor”. “We are in an open relationship and it’s like they want to see other people, I’m glad for that. “I would still sleep with them again one day.”
