Ed Sheeran is holding a charity auction. Fans can auction off the singer’s personal items – including worn underwear.
Ed Sheeran (32) gives away his last shirts and underpants for a good cause. The singer is auctioning off 445 of his clothes in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH). The auction starts on November 16th.
The objects include 149 underpants. The superstar is said to have worn half of it. Also on offer: 20 sweaters, 11 pants, 14 hats and 73 pairs of socks. The songwriter also packed fan merchandise from his favorite football club, Ipswich Town.
Auction in several stages
Apparently none of the clothing was washed or ironed. They will be left as Ed Sheeran delivered them. He dropped them off at an EACH shop in Framlingham in Suffolk, where he grew up.
The auction will take place in three sections. It starts on November 16th, further time slots are November 26th and December 3rd. 186 pieces will be auctioned on these dates. 239 will follow next year. 20 pieces remain behind; they should be ready for the opening of further EACH shops. The starting bid for each piece is 9.99 British pounds (around 11 euros).
Ed Sheeran has supported East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices since 2014. That year . It raised 1,500 pounds (around 1,700 euros) for the good cause. At that time only 17 pieces were auctioned. The most expensive item was a onesie for £300.
