With dark glasses and dyed blonde hair, Heinz Georg Kramm has sung his way through generations as Heino with hits and folk songs. Always at his side: his wife Hannelore, whom he met as a juror at a pageant in Kitzbühel in 1972 and with whom he was married for 44 years.
As has now become known, the woman, who was born in St. Veit im Mühlkreis and grew up in Linz-Urfahr under the maiden name Auer, died on November 8th in the house they shared in Kitzbühel. She was 81 years old. Heino had a TV recording of the Sat.1 show that day “Kiwi’s big party night” broke off to support his seriously ill wife. It was the singer’s wish that his wife could say goodbye in peace.
Heino’s long-time manager Helmut Werner confirmed a report from “Picture”-Newspaper about the woman’s death: “Heino is devastated and in deep sadness. That was the worst day of his life.”
It had already become known in the last few days that the former pop singer and actress, who later also took over Heino’s management, was in poor health. ” I’m now looking after Hannelore and I enjoy doing it”Heino recently said publicly.
Hannelore Kramm suffered from the long-term effects of a car accident in 1972. “I was clinically dead three times back then”, she often talked about the accident at that time. In 2004 she suffered a heart attack and in 2017 she had to have surgery on her lumbar spine.
The childless couple were always very close to each other. The couple also repeatedly visited the mother of the deceased in Linz. In an interview with OÖN, the 84-year-old described his love for his wife as follows: “Hannelore was my greatest personal success. A second success is that we are still together. The press only gave us two years back then.”
Heino was an acclaimed star guest at the OÖN Gala Night of Sports in February 2016. At his side: of course Hannelore Kramm.
