Actress was very nervous at her first meeting
The actress and the film producer met on a blind date in 1993. The wedding bells rang that same year. Last year, the 65-year-old told more about the beginning of this great love: “I had a few bad blind dates and didn’t want to go on one again.” But finally her best friend convinced her to try one last time and get to know Kelley. “I was so nervous,” the Hollywood star continued.
When Pfeiffer adopted her daughter Claudia Rose in 1993, she had only been dating Kelley for a few months. A year later their son Henry was born.
Stars keep their careers and private lives separate
Kelley is considered one of the most successful television producers in the world. The 67-year-old created hit series such as “Ally McBeal”, “Boston Legal” and “Big Little Lies”. However, Kelley never worked with his famous wife. That would be too risky, Pfeiffer once explained. “We’re both pretty demanding at work. So when I come home and I’ve had a bad day and I’m upset about something, I want him to be on my side because he hasn’t heard the other side.” She also values “our relationship more than a good role.”
