Ten months ago, Hollywood star Jeremy Renner broke more than 30 bones in a snowplow accident. Now he is jogging and jumping down a slope again.
“Avengers” star Jeremy Renner posts a video showing his recovery progress ten months after his serious accident. In the almost one-minute clip on Instagram, the US actor hops sideways down a steep street and then quickly jogs uphill. This is his first attempt at these exercises – especially on a slope, writes Renner. He shed tears of joy and was full of hope and gratitude for the support from family, friends and fans. They were his motivation to keep going, he wrote.
On New Year’s Day, Renner (52) was critically injured in a snow plow accident in the US mountain region of Lake Tahoe. The heavy equipment rolled over the actor. He was flown to a clinic by helicopter and had to undergo several operations. According to his own words, the Hollywood star broke more than 30 bones. The fractures were stabilized with titanium, among other things.
Renner provides frequent information about the recovery process via his social media. At the beginning of May, he posted a video of himself slowly walking on a walking frame. In mid-April, the actor appeared on the red carpet for the first time at the premiere of his new show “Rennervations” – with a cane and accompanied by family members. A few weeks later he was training on a special treadmill machine.
