Formula 1 star Valtteri Bottas surprises with a naked calendar in 2024. Proceeds support health projects for men.
The Finnish Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas (34) is releasing a special photo calendar for 2024: Botta’s butt is the focus of each of the 13 pictures.
Photographer Paul Ripke (42), also known from his former podcast with Joko Winterscheidt (44), staged the racing driver and his bottom. Presented the calendar and underlined the artistic aspect of the project with a wink.
The pictures were taken in Aspen, Colorado. However, in keeping with the theme, the city on the calendar is spelled “Asspen”.
Bottas Popo fishing, cooking, cycling…
The cover photo shows Bottas fishing in nature wearing only a fishing hat. The monthly pictures show Botta’s bottom under a waterfall, on a mountain bike, picking peaches or cooking.
The and can be purchased for 19.90 euros. The whole thing should also serve a good cause: five euros per calendar goes to the “Movember” foundation, which supports health projects for men, including, fittingly, prostate cancer prevention.
Anyone who has been following Bottas on Instagram for a long time will probably be less surprised by the project. The calendar resulted from a running joke on Botta’s social media channels. There, in 2022, the Finn posted a snapshot from his summer vacation in which he was doing cartwheels naked on a lonely beach. The photo received so much attention that Bottas has been posting nude pictures – mostly of his back side – ever since.
Fans excited: “This man is a legend”
The Formula 1 driver’s fans are thrilled: “This man is a legend,” says the comments, as well as “Formula 1 would be boring without this Masterclass Schnauzer Maestro,” or “That’s the kind of content we want.” However, not all followers share the humor. A user has to laboriously remind himself: “He’s doing it for a good cause, he’s doing it for a good cause…”
