Disney boss Bob Iger announced the possibility of filming a fourth part in a television interview. The third part is already in the works, the CEO said on the show “Good Morning America” - and as a “little surprise” he added that part 4 could also be in the works. “Frozen” creator Jennifer Lee and her team are currently working on “not one but actually two stories,” said Iger. But he didn’t reveal anything about the content of the films.

After the box office triumph of “Frozen – Completely Unabashed” (2013, in the original “Frozen”), Disney brought the sequel “Frozen 2” to cinemas in 2019. “Frozen” retells the classic fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen very freely. The original film won the Oscar for Best Animated Film in 2014.
The two animated hits about the unlikely sisters Elsa and Anna in the kingdom of Arendelle (biggest film hit: “Let Go Now”) grossed more than $2.7 billion worldwide. The merchandising for the film also brought in billions: Anna, Elsa and the snowman Olaf adorn clothing, hygiene products, dishes and much more, and Frozen costumes are a hit at every carnival. There doesn’t seem to be an end to the hype in sight…
