There is a deep gap between the James Bond films and real life. Richard Moore, the chief of British foreign intelligence service MI6, has revealed some secrets.
UK foreign intelligence chief Richard Moore cleared up rumors about his job in a rare interview on BBC radio on Tuesday.
For example, the head of the secret service known as “C”, known from the James Bond films, reported that he had no shooting ballpoint pen and did not drive a car equipped with special devices – it was not even an Aston Martin.
Moore, who wants to open his service more to knowledge from the economy, but revealed that he always writes in green ink. This is a tradition that the first MI6 boss Mansfield Cumming introduced. After the first letter of his surname, the post was also named “C”, Moore continued. Even on his computer, he always writes in green, added the intelligence chief.
When asked if he ever sneaked through the streets with a fake beard, Moore said, “I’m sure I sneaked around a bit, but maybe not in the colorful way you described.”
