Experiment that seeks to modify perception

In a closed space, the images of the two projections of “Atlas”, the work of Leandro Ibarra, follow one another vertiginously, leaving little time for recognition. The thought of Aby Warburg’s “Atlas Mnemosyne”, creator of a knowledge device based on cartography and consisting of gathering dissimilar things through a complex system, is the thread that ties together and gives meaning to the whole story. Ibarra goes through the history of images in great leaps and, far from the traditional model of an Atlas that collects objects of the same species, inaugurates that of differences, with Marcos López and Leonardo Da Vinci, the Lischtenstein Pop and the Mona Lisa.

Later, “Poema sin título”, the work of Victoria Boulay, wins the record for the greatest participation with the public gathered around it. The words that people ask make up a panel and replicate the game of the exquisite corpse, creativity and dynamism summarize the powerful desire for communication of the visitors. The writer, rigorously, determines the final configuration of the text.

Meanwhile, Manuel Amestoy’s “Palmar” and his openwork papers, Aymará Abramovich’s bowling alley from the 80s where Elvis Presley’s doubles circulate, Agnese Lozupone’s “Mutant Light Variations”, the works of Belén Parra and Martín Ron, representative of Buenos Aires Street Art, complete the set of exhibitions. Another chapter opens with the dancers Mayra Bonard, Agustina Sario, Carla Di Grazia, Carla Rímola and Ayelén Clavin and the live music shows of various bands.

Until 2018, when the first edition of Artground was released, Chandon accompanied the arteBA Fair. For decades he donated champagne, bought the first work of the Fair and presented a memorable award. Great artists designed the Chandon bar, where the who’s who of the art world was. Today, the festival’s audience is younger, extremely relaxed and open to the perception of the most diverse disciplines.
