The Buenos Aires Legislature will pay tribute this Monday to Charly García on the 40th anniversary of the release of the album “Clics Modernos” and the 50th anniversary of the release of the album “Confesiones de Invierno”, which he made as a duet with Nito Mestre in Sui Generis.

The ceremony will be at 6 p.m. in the Golden Room of the Buenos Aires Parliament, located at Perú 160, organized by the legislator of Unión por la Patria Juan Manuel Valdés.

“’Clics Modernos’ marked a before and after in Argentine rock 40 years ago and ‘Confesiones de Invierno’, the most successful of Sui Generis, turns 50,” said the legislator in the call.
He also indicated that the presence at the tribute event of Fabián “Zorrito” Von Quintiero, Fernando Samalea and Hernán “Cucuza” Castiello, who will give a live concert, is expected.
The occasion thus adds a new opportunity to celebrate “Modern Clicks”, originally published on November 5, 1983 and which in recent weeks has received tributes of all kinds. Among them, the inauguration of the “Charly García Corner”, on the corner in New York where the musician was photographed for the cover art of the plate.
