At “The Masked Singer” sing celebrities disguised in elaborate costumes. They are unmasked as soon as they don’t get enough votes or win at the very end. In the second show on Sunday evening on Prosieben, eight costumes competed against each other after the Okapi – embodied by singer and actress Katja Ebstein – had to reveal her true identity after the first episode.
However, there was an embarrassing mishap in the live broadcast moderated by Matthias Opdenhövel: When the Kiwi appeared, the mask lifted and for a brief moment showed the face of the celebrity wearing the fluffy costume. Pictures of the mishap immediately spread on social networks. And although the face wasn’t fully visible, it was immediately clear to many: behind the Kiwi mask was none other than acting star Uwe Ochsenknecht.

Many viewers then spoke out in favor of the Kiwi’s elimination: “Uwe should actually be out now because we already know who he is,” wrote a user on will be there again in the next edition next Saturday.
Fire extinguisher had to drop mask
However, the fire extinguisher has been eliminated; top model Eva Padberg was hiding in it. She had a lot of fun with the show; she felt “like a little kid in a toy store,” said the 43-year-old after her unmasking. Padberg sang Icona Pop’s “I Love It” at the show.

In addition to the Kiwi, the Ice Princess, the Troll, the Lulatsch, the Mustang, the Martian Mouse and Klaus Claus, Santa Claus’ half-brother, remain in the race.
