“You are there and look into the eyes of the audience”: Take That star Gary Barlow is looking forward to performing with his band colleagues again.
British band Take That are preparing for a certain amount of tension ahead of their tour next summer. “I think it’s normal to be nervous before the first two or three shows, when everything starts again,” said Howard Donald (55) of the German Press Agency. “But the older we get and the more life experience we have, the more we grow. We feel more excited to get on stage and sing.”
The former teen idols Gary Barlow (52) and Mark Owen (51) separated at the end of the 1990s and celebrated their comeback in 2005. After the final withdrawal of Robbie Williams (49) and Jason Orange (53), Take That have been on the road as a trio since 2014.
“We’ve only played a few concerts since our reunion. I absolutely love being on stage and performing. It’s the best thing ever, that connection with the audience,” said Barlow. “It’s not a social media app or a TV show: you’re there, looking into the eyes of the audience.”
The Brits released their ninth studio album “This Life” on Friday. With the “This Life Under The Stars” tour, Take That will also be coming to Hanover, Berlin, Mönchengladbach and Munich from the end of June.
