Speaking at a recent breakfast for public broadcaster TV New Zealand, the Oscar winner said of the sequel and a possible release date: “We’re in a very hectic two years of post-production right now, so it will be Christmas 2025.”.
Cameron, who has worked for years at WETA Digital, Peter Jacksonbased in Wellington, says he wants to make all his films in New Zealand in the future and hopes to become a citizen of the Southern Islands next year.

Writer and director Cameron told the Entertainment Weekly portal in late 2022 that he filmed scenes of a marriage proposal.
