The unicameral Legislature of Cordova approved the creation of two new areas that correspond to the Paravachasca Valley Multiple Use Reserve already Quebracho Orc of the middle basin of the Quilpo Riverwhich is located between the departments of Cross of the Axis and Punillaso they add up 27 the protected natural areas throughout the province, it was reported from the local Parliament.

During the session, the provincial ruling party legislator Nadia Fernandez highlighted that the two new protected areas represent “a significant step towards the consolidation of the conservation unit based on an ecosystem approach.” In that sense, he added that in both cases “they constitute an essential strategic paradigm for the comprehensive territorial management”.
