The new images revealed by Netflix include a first look at Carolina Giraldo, also known as Karol Gin her role as Carla, a close friend of Griselda who travels from Medellín to Miami along with other sex workers, to introduce Griselda’s product to the United States, and who ends up becoming one of her most trusted confidants.

Griselda is inspired by the life of the cunning and ambitious Colombian Griselda Blanco, who ended up creating one of the most profitable cartels in history, due to her lethal brutality, but also her ability to charm, which helped her skillfully navigate between her business and family life.
