Johannes Bruckenberger, Gabriele Waldner-Pammesberger and Sebastian Prokop will take over the editor-in-chief as a trio, the ORF announced in a broadcast on Friday. Bruckenberger will be in charge of the broadcast and platform teams, Waldner-Pammesberger will be in charge of the multimedia specialist departments, and Prokop will take care of the news teams.

Christian Braun-Staudinger (multimedia specialist departments), Inka Pieh (news teams) and Eva Karabeg (broadcast and platform teams) act as their deputies. This means that five of the six editor-in-chief positions will be filled by people from ORF.

Only Bruckenberger has not yet worked for the country’s largest media company. He spent most of his journalistic career at the APA, most recently as editor-in-chief.
The editor-in-chief and two editors-in-chief are supposed to represent the newsroom to the outside world and coordinate information offerings, breaking news introductions and resources across all platforms and programs.
