The actor Eddie Mecca is dead. The sitcom actor is said to have died in his home in California on November 27 at the age of 69. Several media reports unanimously.

Mecca began his career on Broadway, where he was nominated for a Tony Award in 1975 for his role in “The Lieutenant”. From 1976 to 1983 he played Carmine Ragusa in the sitcom “Laverne & Shirley”. He had other appearances in the series “24”, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and “Reich und Schön”. On stage he played in the musical “Hairspray” in Las Vegas in 2006 and toured for “Grease” in 2010.
Mecca leaves behind his wife Yvonne Marie Grace and their daughter Mia.
