Today the dance Christmas song “Christmas has a Beauty” by Alois Mühlbacher, DJ René Rodrigezz and Franz Farnberger is released.
A countertenor, a DJ and a music jack-of-all-trades meet. One of them says: “Do something together.” Says the other: “Good.” Then the third: “I already have an idea.” No joke. A meeting of two ex-choir boys from St. Florian has now resulted in the jointly produced Christmas carol “Christmas has a Beauty”. Today the song produced in dance and house sound by countertenor Alois Mühlbacher and René Seidl alias “DJ René Rodrigezz” will be released.
The catchy music comes from Franz Farnberger, the musical director of the St. Florian Boys’ Choir, the text goes back to a poem (“Christmas Eve”) written in 1893 by the British poet Christina Rossetti. “I didn’t think that I would appear again as a pop composer at my age,” says the 69-year-old.
DJ Rodrigezz “electronically treated” the song in his studio in Linz, the musical mixture of pop, house and dance is now available on all platforms. Rodrigezz is under contract with Sony Music and runs his own record company. The 35-year-old worked with the US rapper Pitbul, among others, and wrote the song “I’m coming for your Soul” for the remake of the classic film “Poltergeist”. In his videos you can see fast cars, expensive watches, sun, sand, sea and a lot of skin. Rodrigezz: “The song quickly became a project close to my heart. I was extremely surprised that Franz Farnberger is so open and flexible about my music.”
By the way, Alois Mühlbacher is not to be heard as a countertenor, but with his natural voice in a sonorous bass range. A video will appear on YouTube soon. Alois Mühlbacher had already proven his versatility on the channel last year with his version of the Queen song “Don’t stop me now”.
