Does Britney Spears want to reconcile with her father, who is in poor health? A new posting could point this out.
Shortly after it was announced that her father Jamie Spears (71) had lost a leg, Britney Spears (42) posted two posts on Instagram. What is particularly surprising is her posting, in which she posts old family pictures. In November 2021, she won her long battle to end her father’s 13-year guardianship.
Sign of impending reconciliation?
Now, after the sad news about her health, she published some nostalgic looks back at the good old days. The US portal “TMZ” interprets this as meaning that she might want to reconcile with her once hated father. The singer posted photos from the past on Tuesday – most of them showing her carrying her now teenage sons. But one also shows Jamie Spears next to her, with his grandson’s lunch box and a juice box. The 42-year-old did not comment on the old snapshots, so her intention can only be speculated.
However, the singer seems to be getting closer to her family again after years of arguments. She celebrated her 42nd birthday a few days ago with her mother and brother.
Britney Spears posted another post after the amputation news. However, she was less emotional in it. As usual, she performed a dance in lingerie. In a video posted to Instagram on Tuesday, the “Toxic” singer was seen in a pink lace dress moving to Peggy Lee’s 1958 hit “Fever.” She said: “Filmed last night, but my dress was too big.”
On the same day, TMZ reported that Jamie Spears had lost the battle for his leg. After several operations due to an infection, doctors decided to remove the leg. The 71-year-old had a massive infection in one of his legs that forced him into the hospital for weeks. The portal quoted a source as saying: “He had five unsuccessful surgeries to contain the infection and doctors decided that the only solution is amputation.” According to the report, the amputation was a month ago, but Jamie Spears is still “not doing well.”
