Oscar winner Halle Berry (57, “Monster’s Ball”) says she became friends with actress Angelina Jolie (48, “Crazy”) while discussing broken relationships. “We had a rocky start, and I think that will stand us in good stead in our time together on screen,” Berry told Variety about working with Jolie on the action film “Maude v Maude.”
“We talked a lot about divorce and exes,” Berry said. “We became friends, let’s put it that way.” She described Jolie, who also worked behind the camera as a producer on their first film together, “Maude v Maude,” as impressive.
The two Hollywood actresses have been in court over arguments with their ex-partners over the past decade. Berry only reached an agreement in the divorce dispute in August, almost eight years after her marriage to the father of her now ten-year-old son. Jolie, on the other hand, has been involved in a bitter custody battle with the father of their six children since her separation from Hollywood star Brad Pitt in 2016.
