What is “Leaving the World Behind” about?
In this apocalyptic thriller from award-winning writer-director Sam Esmail (Mr. Robot), Amanda (Roberts) and her husband Clay (Hawke) rent a luxurious property to spend a quiet weekend with their children, Archie (Evans) and Rose ( Mackenzie). But the family getaway is interrupted when two strangers, who introduce themselves as GH (Ali) and his daughter Ruth (Myha’la), arrive in the middle of the night, warn about a mysterious cyber attack and try to take refuge there, because they say that It’s your house. Both families must deal with the impending crisis in their own ways, as they struggle to find a place in a collapsing world.
