Hollywood star Jamie Foxx thanked his fans on Instagram on his 56th birthday. This is a “special” birthday that he can only celebrate thanks to the prayers of all his fans and followers, the actor wrote in an emotional post.
“I needed every prayer,” Foxx added in all caps, referring to the time when he was “bad.” According to his family, the Oscar winner (“Ray”) had to be treated in a clinic in mid-April for “medical complications.” What he suffered from was not made public.
At an event in Los Angeles last week, Foxx addressed this frightening time. “What I’ve been through is something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy because it’s hard when it’s almost over,” the star said at the Critics Choice Association Black Cinema Awards in Los Angeles.
“I saw the tunnel – I didn’t see the light.” Foxx took the stage to accept an award to thunderous applause. “You know, it’s crazy, six months ago I couldn’t do this – I couldn’t even walk,” he said. Today he enjoys every single minute.
