Ex-James Bond Pierce Brosnan (70) sees something supernatural in the decades-long bond with his wife. Watching someone “grow old with you” is “a very spiritual journey,” the actor, who has been married to US journalist Keely Shaye Smith for 22 years, told US broadcaster Fox News. “Seeing the other person change – whatever it may be, the hair, the waist. But it’s the love in the heart.”
Together he and his wife experienced “many, many hardships, as families do, as we all do,” Brosnan described. The actor raved about the support he received from his wife: “She allows me to go out into the big world and do what I do as a man, as an actor, she always has.”
The Hollywood star, who stars in the new action thriller Fast Charlie, met Smith in 1994 and married her in 2001. The couple has two sons together.
