You might be thinking: Isn’t every season of “Curb” potentially the last? While this is true (the series has long operated on an open invitation from HBO and without a strict schedule), the cable network, for the first time, is definitively promoting the next batch of episodes as the “final season” of Larry David.

Larry David’s statement on the end of Curb Your Enthusiasm
“As ‘Curb’ comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this ‘Larry David’ persona and become the person God intended me to be: the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being that I was. until I went off the rails in portraying this evil character,” David said in a statement (via Variety). “And then ‘Larry David’, I say goodbye to you. Your misanthropy will not be lost. And those of you who want to contact me, you can contact me at Doctors Without Borders.”

“Curb” traditionally appears only periodically. In the late 2000s, the program entered a bi-annual rhythm. And then he took a big break from 2011 until 2017, when he returned. And it was again in 2020 and 2021. Which amounts to 12 seasons in 24 years.
The cast for the final season features the returns of Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, Cheryl Hines, JB Smoove, Richard Lewis, Ted Danson and Vince Vaughn, among others.
“Curb Your Enthusiasm” was created by David, who executive produces with Garlin and Jeff Schaffer. Laura Streicher and Jennifer Corey are co-executive producers.
