The surprising death of comedian Mirco Nonchev raises questions. The Berlin police are investigating “because of the unexplained cause of death”.
Comedian Mirco Nontschew (1969-2021) died at the age of 52. This has been confirmed by his manager and friend. As a police spokeswoman said on Saturday, among other things, a 52-year-old was found dead in an apartment building in Berlin-Lankwitz on the afternoon of December 3.
“A death investigation has been initiated because of the unknown cause of death,” it says. There is no evidence of third-party negligence. His manager Riedel asks on behalf of the Nontschew family “for consideration during this difficult time”.
Known from “RTL Saturday Night”
In the 1990s, Nontschew became a celebrated comedian, especially as a member of the cult show “RTL Saturday Night”. He also celebrated great success with the “7 dwarfs” films by and with Otto Waalkes (73). Most recently he was on the show “LOL: Last One Laughing” by Michael Bully Herbig (53) on the streaming service Amazon Prime Video. A new season with him has already been shot and should actually be broadcast at the beginning of next year.
