Presenter Barbara Schöneberger’s wish list for Christmas is empty. She tried to stop everyone from giving her something, says the 49-year-old in the new issue of “Do You Understand Fun?” on Saturday (8:15 p.m.) in the first. “I don’t want to accumulate goods,” she explained in an interview with the German Press Agency. “You can give me a bottle of champagne or a ham.” Many have now followed her request. “Everyone has now recognized the advantage for themselves too.”
From Schöneberger’s point of view, you don’t necessarily need to give something to people who already have everything. “Let’s be honest: it was either picked out half-heartedly or was still lying around somewhere.” For example, even though she doesn’t wear necklaces or rings, she still receives such jewelry as gifts. “I’m wondering what I’m supposed to do with it.” She likes to give away photo books as a nice souvenir.
