Helena Fürst: On the road to recovery after diagnosis

In November, Helena Fürst (49) made her brain tumor public. The reality TV actress was discovered to have a benign meningioma during a routine MRI in 2020. Now she has given a little health update on Facebook with good news: “The current MRI confirms it, my tumor is shrinking!”

Further investigations are still necessary, says Fürst. “But I’m well on the way to complete recovery.” The former jungle camper also shared an old photo of herself smiling into the camera.

Since being diagnosed in 2020, Fürst has struggled with a number of health issues. The examination was carried out on the occasion of her planned participation in the TV format “Celebrity Boxing”. Shortly after the diagnosis, she suffered from “lightning pain” in the right side of her body and a ringing in her ears. A medical report then showed that the tumor had spread to the ear canal.

The doctors advised the reality TV actress to have a surgical tumor reduction followed by individual irradiation of the remaining tumor, but Fürst decided against surgery due to the risks. No doctor could assure her “that he would get even part of the tumor out of my head without damage.” Thanks to individual therapy, she quickly got better and was confident that she had “got lucky”.

From TV lawyer to reality star

Helena Fürst became known with her show “Helena Fürst – Advocate for the Poor” and caused controversy with various reality TV appearances. In 2016 she polarized in the jungle camp, and in 2017 she moved to the “Summer House of the Stars”. In 2022 she took part in “The Big Celebrity Penance”, but had to leave the show early.
