Some friends like Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez have been by Taylor’s side for a long time and were already seen in the music video for “Bad Blood” as her so-called Girl Squad in 2015. But not every friendship lasts forever and some friends only joined the superstar’s inner circle later. At Taylor Swift’s 34th birthday it became clear once again that the pop queen surrounds herself with many stars. And the singer even shares the stage with some friends.
Taylor Swift and her gang
On her 30th birthday, super star Taylor Swift spoke to the magazine about things she’s learned over three decades. She describes how people in their twenties are brought together by the feeling of this age and how friends feel like chosen family. “And maybe they will be for the rest of your life. Or maybe they are just your comrades for an important period, but not forever. It’s sad, but sometimes when you grow up, you outgrow relationships. Man may leave friendships behind along the way, but the memories will always remain,” the superstar said at the time.
And so some women who were once close to Taylor’s side have left the Girls Squad. For a long time, Karlie Kloss was undoubtedly the most famous of Taylor’s ex-girlfriends, but the two have now reconciled. In the mid-2000s, Zendaya, Martha Hunt, Lorde, Serayah and Jessica Alba were also part of the Taylor troupe. In 2015, Jaime King made Taylor Swift the godmother of one of her children, but she hasn’t been to any of Taylor’s “Eras Tour” concerts, as reported.
